EJCAP Autumn 2015: Special issue on geriatric feline care

(26.09.2015) This year’s special issue of EJCAP Online focuses on the veterinary care of our elderly feline patients, and includes papers on geriatric feline care (Sarah Caney), excessive vocalisation (Danièlle Gunn-Moore) and the early detection of chronic kidney disease in cats (Dominique Paepe).

Other authors of this star-studded issue include Katrin Hartmann (feline lymphoma), Yaiza Forcada (home monitoring of diabetic cats), Beate Egner (feline endocrine hypertension), Sina Marsilio and Jörg Steiner (feline chronic enteropathies) and Vicky Halls (environmental enrichment of cats with OA).

As usual, all papers are presented in an interactive manner, with videos, quizzes, downloads and charts.

Veterinary app & book reviews

You will also find a new line-up of veterinary apps (feline-related only!), including feline ophthalmology, cardiology – and one for artistic cats! The books reviewed in this issue include Immunology, Critical Care and Backyard poultry medicine and surgery.

We’re also delighted to present the “How to…” column, with the video recordings of two (feline!) lectures, presented by Sarah Caney and Laura Blackwood at the 2015 BSAVA congress.

Free interactive CPD – at your fingertips

Updates on the forthcoming Fecava symposium on rabies and the Travel Scholarship can be found in the News pages.

Access is open to all veterinary practitioners, students and nurses in Europe and beyond, and is compatible for viewing on tablets. Please visit www.ejcap.org for more details.
